Project Synopsis
In a middle class neighborhood, in the Binghamton, NY area, sits Kirkwood Senior Housing Development. The building consists of 32 handicapped accessible, one-bedroom living units. Ancillary spaces consist of a community room, office, laundry, storage, and outdoor patio.
The site is a natural setting with numerous trees and view to surrounding hills. The building site, design, and colors were chosen to compliment the adjacent single family neighborhood.
Residents have personalized each apartment entry door, adding a special warmth to the facility.
